Signing Day Blues...From a Dawg's Perspective
Yesterday is supposed to be a second Christmas for those of us that like to follow college football. It was the first day recruits could sign their letters confirming what college they want to attend. For the past 8 years or so, the University of Georgia has been ranked as high as fourth with the various recruiting outlets (Rivals, Scouts, ESPN, and so forth.) This year, the Dawgs were bashed by every media outlet during their coverage. So what? We lost a recruit to ole Rotten Crotch Tennessee?
These media outlets have made stars out of high school kids that may never make it to stardom on the college football stage. For some, it works out and they end up in doing this all over again in the NFL draft.
For others, not so much. Check out Nu'Keese Richardson - Tennessee's prize recruit they robbed from Florida last year. Who then robbed a gas station in Knoxville. Good Ole Rocky Top - You'll always be...Nu'Keese in a Prius to me.
