1981: Boy, What a Year

I have found that the website YouTube is a glorious invention and thanks to all the people that post funny videos, commercials from the 1980s and well, these clips for me to enjoy. They are from a couple of movies that I have always enjoyed, but never been able to find.

Student Bodies (1981)

This was one of the first horror movie spoofs I ever watched. It was long before the "Scary Movie" series and made fun of horror in ways only the mentally challenged could have come up with.

Pay attention about 4:45 minutes into this clip. I think you will all give a "What the Hell?" in unison.

Polyester (1981)

Oh, brother is this movie horrible. I was up late watching this with my mother some years back and thought it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. Luckily, I have had many other things come through my life that made me all but forget this. Until now.

For some reason, the real action in this clip happens at 4:48 in. The star of the movie (Divine) has a daughter, LuLu that likes to live on the wild side when mom isn't around. I didn't catch the name of the dolt that LuLu and her library partner run into, but he has this awesome idea to ride around town and hit people in the ass with a broom. Well, about 6:17 in, the crew whacks a sister of the church. This sister hijacks an effing bus, and chases down the "honkies." In what the director probably thought would be an act of sheer hilarity, at 7:20, the woman gets out of the bus and pops the tires of the crew's hot rod. With her fucking mouth. What can I say, I'm easily amused.
